Bioøkonomi

Bioeconomy is an economy based on renewable resources from soil, forest, sea and water. These resources are refined into, for example, food, feed, chemicals, materials, ingredients, pharmaceutical products and energy. Biological resources, also called biomass, can for example be grain, wood, slaughter waste, coffee grounds, algae, or faeces from animals and people.

NB! Even though these bioresources are renewable, it does not mean that we have unlimited use - they must be used in a sustainable way, so that we do not destroy future generations.
